A growing number of women in New York City are opting to give birth at home. Mariah LeBlanc, a publicist and event planner for Nylon magazine, gave birth in what is now her son's bedroom after laboring all over the apartment and on the roof of her Cobble Hill penthouse. Her husband, Andrew, a wealth manager at Merrill Lynch, said that ever since his son, Hooks, was born he hasn't looked at the apartment the same way. "In November of 2002, I moved in here as a bachelor. Now not only is this the place where we lived after getting married, but it's where we started our family."
