Submit Your Birth Story

Part of what makes Greenhouse Birth Center a community is the stories we share. We invite you to create your own account on our website. Once your account is verified (please allow up to one week), return to this page and submit your birth story.

We recommend drafting your story in a basic text editor (notepad, textedit), then when you're ready, log in to your account and submit your story. You can include up to five (5) images and you will be able to connect your story to your child's birth announcement. Please read our birth story disclaimer before submitting!

 

Is Your Story Already on Our Site?

If your birth story is already on the website and you would like to edit it or add pictures to it, please follow these steps:

  1. Create an account on this website. Please make note of your username.
  2. Find the birth story that is yours and copy the URL, or website of the story.
  3. Send an email to our webmaster and include the information from #1 and #2. We will then connect your user account to that birth story. 
  4. When you receive confirmation that your account and story are connected, log back into the site and navigate to your birth story. You will now see two tabs near the top of the page, "view" and "edit". Click "edit" to make adjustments to your birth story. 
  5. Remember to click SAVE at the bottom of your birth story when you are done editing.
  6. If you need further support, contact our webmaster.

Disclaimer

We love that our families enjoy their experiences so much that they want to share them with others! Every birth is unique we want to provide an avenue for everyone to share their stories. In order to do this efficiently and consistently, there are some limitations when it comes to the birth story you submit. Please read and understand the following:

  • We make every attempt to approve and publish birth stories within one week. Activity at the birth center is sometimes hectic so please pardon any delays. If you submit a birth story and do not see it on the site after one week, please contact us.
  • We want to make our birth stories easy for you to add and easy for us to showcase. Because of this, we are using a content management system. You can add as much plain text as you want to your story as well as five (5) images. The images will be resized to fit along the right side of your story. This is all automatically controlled by our system so that no one needs to spend extra time editing images.
  • By uploading your images, you understand that they are public images and can be downloaded by any site visitor. Such is the nature of the internet. Please do not upload anything that you deem private.
