Marcia Miars

Marcia is the mother of two children, Ethan and Lola. While pregnant with Ethan she and her husband Garrett knew they wanted a natural childbirth. They found Heather Paris' Empowered Childbirth classes. At these classes they met Birth Doula, Mitzi. With Mitzi's guidance and the knowledge from Heather's classes they were able to have they natural birth they wanted. Although the hospital birth went surprisingly well they knew they could have an even better birth experience at the Greenhouse Birth Center. It was there that Lola was born into the water in February 2010. After such an amazing experience Marcia knew she wanted to be more involved in the GBC and found the CAB. Marcia and her family live in Charlotte and in addition to being a mom 2 her two awesome kids she works part-time as a registered nurse. She is delighted to be a member of the CAB and looks forward to the years to come. Community Advisory Board, 2010-present
